Food Assistance Resources

People in our community should not have to choose between feeding their family and paying a utility or medical bill. The following resources will make sure that they don't have to.

San Antonio Food Bank

The San Antonio Food Bank can help you find food through their mobile pantries, distribution centers, kids meal programs, and mega food distribution events. They can also help register you for other programs like SNAP that help you buy groceries.

The San Antonio Food Bank serves residents of the following counties:

  • Atascosa
  • Bandera
  • Bexar
  • Comal
  • Edwards
  • Frio
  • Guadalupe
  • Karnes
  • Kendall
  • Kerr
  • La Salle
  • Medina
  • Real
  • Uvalde
  • Wilson
  • Zavala

Meals on Wheels

If you are an at-risk older adult, Meals on Wheels may be able to deliver meals to your home.

You may qualify to receive free meals if:

  • you are an older adult living in Bexar, Frio, or Atascosa County
  • you are unable to make your own meals
  • you are unable to leave your home
  • you are unable to drive

On a limited basis, disabled individuals under 60 may be eligible for meals if funding is available.
