National Immunization Awareness Month
Published on August 09, 2022
National Immunization Awareness Month (NIAM) is an annual observance held in August to highlight the importance of vaccination for people of all ages. Metro Health reminds parents to ensure their children are up-to-date with vaccines. Everyone five years and older are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 booster vaccination. People who are unvaccinated are at greater risk of being infected and vaccination helps prevent infection and hospitalization.
There are many vaccine pop-up clinics available across the County as well as COVID-19 testing sites. Visit CDC website to learn more about COVID-19 vaccines.
