Employee Spotlight: Community Health and Prevention Team

The Community Health & Prevention (CHP) Teams visit different areas of town conducting outreach and education to:

  • businesses
  • apartment complexes
  • medical facilities
  • faith based organizations and others.

The Team consists of Metro Health, South TX Regional Advisory Council (STRAC), SA Fire Dept., SAPD and other City Departments (Parks, DHS, NHSD), and the goal is to provide education to stop the spread of COVID-19 in communities with vulnerable populations which include our communities of

  • color
  • zip codes with health disparities
  • elderly
  • disabled residents
