COVID-19 Vaccination Update

Most health insurance plans will cover COVID-19 and flu vaccines at no cost to the individual. Individuals without health insurance or those with plans that do not cover COVID-19 vaccines can get them at no cost at Metro Health clinics or area pharmacies participating in the CDC's Bridge Access Program. This program will continue next year and ends on December 31, 2024. Visit vaccines.gov to look up sites participating in the Bridge Access Program.

• Children as young as 6 months can be vaccinated for free at Metro Health sites. Metro Health, CentroMed, Communicare and University Health clinics also offer free vaccines to individuals that are eligible for the Adult Safety Net and Vaccines for Children programs.
• Find major commercial pharmacy locations by visiting vaccines.gov, calling 1-800-232-0233, or texting your zip code to 438829. People with health insurance will have no out-of-pocket costs at in-network pharmacies. Independent pharmacies participating in the Bridge Access Program can be found at CovidAccess.com. 
• Homebound seniors: Medicare will pay a doctor or another care provider to provide the COVID-19 vaccine in your home.
