Once the vaccine becomes available, people without health insurance or whose health insurance does not cover the vaccine will be able to get the new vaccine at a Metro Health pop-up clinic at no cost. For those with insurance, please check with your provider to make sure the vaccine is covered and available.
The vaccines have been proven to reduce the risk of serious COVID-19 illness, hospitalization, and even death. The CDC explains that the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination continue to outweigh any potential risks.
Metro Health continues to recommend people get tested and stay home if they are having symptoms, and if you are having symptoms, please wear a mask among others.
