Halloween Safety Tips

We are excited to celebrate the holidays as we have more tools to protect ourselves against COVID-19 and other respiratory illnesses! This Halloween, trick-or-treaters and their parents should be reminded of safety measures and educate themselves on the latest pandemic-related news/updates.

The CDC recommends the updated COVID-19 vaccine for everyone 6 months and older. This vaccine is designed to provide improved protection to the latest COVID-19 variants currently circulating. The vaccines have been proven to reduce the risk of serious COVID-19 illness, hospitalization, and even death. The CDC explains that the benefits of COVID-19 vaccination continue to outweigh any potential risks.

For a list of providers offering the updated COVID-19 vaccines visit vaccines.gov. People without health insurance or whose health insurance does not cover the vaccine will be able to get the new vaccine at a Metro Health pop-up clinic or at a provider listed in vaccines.gov that is participating in the Bridge Access Program at no cost.
